RECEPTION - HIGH SCHOOL

AGES 5yrs & Over

Our welcoming and experienced Teachers invite dancers of all abilities to take part in our recreational classes, designed for enjoyment, personal growth and confidence building in a supportive, inclusive environment. These non-competitive classes focus on developing skills, encouraging creativity and fostering a love of movement for every student.

Once dance styles are selected, students are placed into age-appropriate groups to ensure they feel comfortable, supported and able to progress at their own pace.

Whether you are completely new to dance, looking for a fun and energetic way to stay active, or interested in exploring different styles before moving into our performance pathways, our recreational program provides the perfect place to begin.

ACROBATICS

Gymnastics style incorporarting flexibility and strength to build basic acrobatic moves eg: cartwheels, walkovers, aerials, and acro structure

JAZZ - MUSIC OF TODAY

Energetic dance moves to the current 'Popstars' of today. All movements and music are age appropriate and suitable for all different age groups

TAP

This classic dance style gets a modern street style makeover. It trains your feet to move and ceate rhythmns

LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY

Interpretive dance moves combining ballet and jazz, allowing total freedom to express the words or feelings of a song.

MUSICAL THEATRE

Performers are taught theatrics that combine songs, spoken dialogue, acting, and dance

HIP HOP

Street Dance styles. Breaking, locking, and popping require skill and experience to perfect.

While breakdancing consists primarily of moves executed close to the ground, the majority of hip-hop moves are executed standing up.

Technique, strength and endurance are a major focus.

Dancers with a good sense of rhythm find it easier to learn hip-hop steps.

CLASSICAL BALLET

Dancers are trained in a very technical and structured way whilst also improving their performance quality, which aids this craft.
